It took about 20 seconds to replace the filter. There's a little commotion when the air is clearing the line, but that just makes a boring day a little more interesting.

I bought this because it is the replacement cartridge recommended by the manufacturer. It lasts approximately 5 months depending on use. I use the water from this filter for making coffee, iced tea and lemonade. The only con is that it is expensive in my opinion.
