Filter immediately removes bad taste and odor. Although "A" filters did the same, they did not last long (taste and odor present after 4 months instead of the expected 6 months). Will monitor to see how long these ("B" filter) last.

Our public water supply is questionable at best. The water from the tap smells, has a cloudy coloration, and leaves an after taste in everything it's added to. The addition of this filter softens the water, removes all smell and bad taste. We use the filter water to drink, cook, wash dishes and clothes, and provide drinking water for our pets. The difference is remarkable. I'll never go back to using unfiltered water ever again. Do yourself a favor: Buy and use these filters for a healthier, more refreshing supply of water. It's your water, you pay for it, so you may as well have it at its best!

You never know what is in the tap water so when it was time to replace the filter in my LG refrigerator I opted for the higher quality "B" filter. The water flow and taste are about the same as they were with the old "A" filter. I took off one star from my rating due to the high cost of these filters.

In lots of internet ads, it is not clear that there are two types of filters for this refrigerator that provide different levels of performance. The more expensive filter (LT600P) filters out more impurities.
Filters are easy to install, work well.
They can last awhile after the "replace filter" warning lights up.
The price seems high for a simple filter device.

Works like a water filter should. It does cause the water pressure to drop too low for the ice maker to work unless I remove it for a few hours every few weeks, but all-in-all a good product.

I was going to purchase a new expensive LG refrigerator. Luckily I found the price of their filter first. This is like buying ink for your printer. They give you the printer if you buy the ink. They should give you the refrigerator if you buy the very expensive filters.

We bought our LG french door SS refrigerator last June after we moved to our new construction home. The water from the refrigerator tasted great for the first 4 months and then we got a very noticeable plastic taste to it. These filters are supposed to last 6 months so I thought maybe it's something in the refrigerator water lines. I went to the local hardware store to pick up a replacement filter thinking I would get one for about [$]to [$]...boy did I get sticker shock. I've been having good luck finding deals on-line so decided to search around. Filter Outlet had the best price if you buy 3 and best of all free shipping. I ended up buying a case of 3M filters for my furnace as well which including shipping was still cheaper than the local big chain hardware store. The new water filter did the trick and we are now back to drinking water from our Mercedes of a fridge. Now I have 2 back-ups and won't have to procrastinate almost 6 months before drinking water from our fridge again. hopefully this filter will last closer to 6 months.
