[...] an exact replacement for my malfunctioning ice maker. Only problem encountered was hooking up power cord; cord does not have much play and one must align somewhat blindly. When I thought it was attached I got a NO Line power reading. Problem is the connector on back of frig kept moving away from the ice maker plug; was able to get a firm seat after wedging a screw driver against back wall.

The icemaker was the proper size, positioning, wiring and mounting for our 1990 GE side by side refrigerator. The installation instructions were good. The wiring harness and mounting bracket included in the kit were practically identical to the original. The icemaker worked right away and we had a full bin of ice within a few hours. Works good!

This replacement ice maker is in and performing well. Service instructions were sketchy with unexplained parts included in package. Anyone unfamiliar with this type of appliance would have been confused.

Replaced a [...] 'replacement' that lasted 2.5 years. Repairman wanted over $400 out the door to replace the one [...] also replaced-- for about the same amount when the original went bad. Came with adapter plate (that was needed for our Kenmore side by side) and took a whole 15 minutes to replace-- Loosen -then tighted 2 phillips head screws after mounting and plug it in. Unit started making ice about an hour later and hasn't stopped since-- we have had it about a month. [$]-- is a deal -- you have pay the repairman $65 dollars just to show up. Wife wants to buy another one to have around-- we use a lot of Ice!

I replaced an old GE icemaker that never worked well with the Supco RIM300. Installation was easy using the included mounting bracket. The icemaker began making ice in about 4 hours and every 1.25 hours thereafter. Ice cube quality is good. The included wiring harness needs to be 1 to 2 inches longer to allow for proper routing on those refrigerators with the icemaker plug on the rear wall.

Originally I ordered the replacement Ice maker kit from GE, for my GE refrigerator model TFX27PFXB WW Profile 26.6 cf. To my surprise the GE ice maker did not fit in the freezer. I did a search on the net and found this product half the price GE is charging for the ice maker. The installation was easy, just remove the failed GE ice maker and replace it with this one. You may have to retain the old ice maker bracket and use it with this one.

This replacement Ice Maker went into the original mounts with the supplied adapter. Easy instructions were supplied by the manufacturer. The settings for the ice level were easy to access. Ice cubes were formed within 30 min and the limit was hit overnight. Just in time for Pina Coladas and Hurricanes this weekend!!

This was a great replacement for an icemaker. It was very easy to install and it started making ice right away. It does sit a little bit lower than the original but it doesn't seem to effect the quantity of ice.

The ice maker in our freezer was leaking constantly, had someone come out to check it who disassembled the unit. We paid him $65 for doing this and he informed us a new one would cost $110 and some additional installation costs would also apply.
So, I looked at the unit and how it was attached, searched online and found your replacement unit for a lot less, ordered it and installed it myself.
Saved a lot of money!

This was very easy to install and worked quickly. I had only to shorten the water supply line inside the freezer by 1/2 inch. Works great and makes great looking ice cubes. Would recommend this to anybody.

I had a GE repairman replace the icemaker first and it cost me $300. It wouldn't make enough ice to cover the bottom of the bucket. With this one, it fit like a glove and I had it changed out in about 5 minutes. It's making plenty of ice and even larger cubes. I am extremely happy with it.

The product apparently fits a wide range of refrigerators. Some adaption was needed for use with mine. The fill up nozzle had to be extended, and the fill arm does not work real well with my ice bucket.

It works better than the original icemaker. The ice started falling once the unit cooled down enough. Only problem I had was that I didn't get the shutoff wire installed in the right slot to shut off the ice flow. Once I got it into the right hole it has been working great.

I just purchased the RIM-300 Ice Maker Replacement Kit for an old GE one that made ice for 30 years.
I highly recommend this model to anyone that requires this replacement.
It was very easy to hook up and makes perfect crescent shaped ice cubes.
After making a minor adjustment to the water fill level, I actually like this ice maker better than the original one.
