The Santa Fe Advance is intended for installation in crawlspaces or basements which experience short- to long-term high humidity conditions, however the attractively designed unit can be placed in almost any residential or business setting where humidity control is desired. The Santa Fe Advance is designed to operate in temperatures between 55°F and 95°F, which typically include lower temperatures found in basements and crawlspaces. In addition, the small physical profile of the unit allows it to be conveniently placed inside height restricted spaces.
The Santa Fe Advance will help maintain the structural integrity of your home, inhibit mold growth, and improve the indoor air quality of your home by removing odor-causing moisture and maintaining 50% or less relative humidity as recommended by the EPA, American Lung Association, and American Medical Association.
Large Capacity: This high capacity dehumidifier removes up to 90 pints of water per day at standard conditions-enough water removal capacity for areas up to 2200 square feet.
Low Temp Operation: The Santa Fe Advance is powerful enough to control humidity even in the cooler environments of crawlspaces. Dehumidifiers are rated for capacity at 80°F and 60% relative humidity. At the cooler, real-life temperatures of a crawlspace, the capacity of conventional dehumidifiers drops dramatically. At temperatures below 65°F, frost forms on the coils of a conventional unit and causes the unit to ice-up. Frost cuts down on air circulation so the unit does not remove as much moisture from the air. Some units have automatic defrost but remove minimal quantities of water in cooler conditions. However, even at regular conditions, the Santa Fe Advance removes more pints of water per day than most dehumidifiers.
MERV-11 Filtration: The Santa Fe Series utilizes a blower rather than a propeller fan allowing the use of high-efficiency air filtration for improved indoor air quality. Standard MERV-11 filtration is 65% efficient at capturing particles from 1.0 to 3.0 microns in size-resulting in effective filtration of most mold spores.
Optional Ductability: When using the optional ducting kit - attaching ductwork to the unit promotes air circulation throughout the crawlspace allowing for the location of the unit by the crawlspace access door for convenience. The unit may also be located remotely when space doesn't allow for placement in the crawlspace.
The unit has 4 leveling feet, an 8' drain hose, and 10' power cord. Optional leveling casters are available to make unit more portable (leveling feet are standard). Separate fan control allows for continuous fan operation or operation only when the unit is actively removing moisture from the air. Humidity control knob allows unit to turn on and off automatically to maintain the humidity level that is ideal for your environment. Washable prefilter. Pleated air filter for finer particle removal.
Condensate drains via gravity from a port on the side of the unit. An optional pump kit can be purchased if water must be moved up and away from the dehumidifier. The pump kit can move water up to the outdoors, over to a sump pit or up to a sink (20 foot lift)

Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
About 5 years ago, I turned our approximately 1000 sq ft basement into a semi-finished recreation area. That meant needing a dehumidifier to get rid of the musty smell during the spring, summer, and fall here in the Boston area. I went through 4 dehumidifiers (each put to use in the spring which would then die by mid-fall). Each one needed to work constantly to keep the humidity around 50% and I think that's what led to their early demises. So after wasting [$] over the past 4 years ([$] a pop), I decided to bite the bullet and get a dehumidifier that is up to the task. While we've had the Sante Fe Advance for just 3 weeks now, I'm amazed by it. It rarely ever runs. When I hear the silence, I keep thinking that it broke down like the other dehumidifiers I've owned until I see the humidity on our hygrothermometer shows 50% and my nose smells a dry basement!Considering how little it seems to need to work to keep our basement dry, I fully expect for it to last for years. I wish I knew about this 5 years ago!
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
Unit seems to work as advertised. I have had it for two months now. It is used in my crawl space to control humidity, as I had mold starting to grow there. Humid summers in Charlotte, NC area. I can hear the unit when it is on, in the main level of the house, but only if the house is quiet, otherwise you can not hear it. I have tried to adjust it to a moderate setting, holding humidity around 65%, give or take 4%. It runs in the night and early morning in my ~2100 sq ft crawl space. I am unable to comment on electricity usage exactly, as the AC is running quite a bit at the same time, but it seems to be fairly efficient, as I don't see a big difference compared with last year's ovarall summer usage. Overall, it does what it needs to do, and I am happy with the purchase. Seems well built, and I hope it will reliable for the next 10 years. Only time will tell.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
I used to have an old [...] dehumedifier and it struged to keep the humidity below 60%, it was "ON" all the time in the basement. Now, the Santafe stays on for 30 minutes and it shots off for 2 hours while maintaining a humidity between 43 to 52%, it's also very quite. Very happy with the product.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
Purchased Santa Fee Advance for my home in Ocean City Md to be used in the crawl space.
Was easy to install with just two people. Within two days could notice the difference in the humidity level and I'm very pleased with the ease of installation and the reduction in the humidity in my crawl space.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
Using the Santa Fe in the encapsulated crawl space in my new home. I like the horizontal design, built in level and large adjustable feet. The only design flaw is that it doesn't have a handle on top.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
We recommend the SantaFe Advance model to our clients who have moisture issues in their businesses, homes and crawlspaces. We've never had a callback or a complaint.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
There seems to be a 10 to 15 point difference between turning on and off which I think is too much. Otherwise it seems to do a good job.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
During the rainiest summer in 70 years, we built a new house with a basement and crawl space. We ordered this unit ordered to help dry-out our crawl space to reduce the musty smell and mold prospects and so that hardwood floors could be installed above it on the main level. After a week of operation, the humidity levels in the sub-floor had been reduced by one-third and were a suitable match for the hardwood. After two and a half weeks of operation, we are still extracting about 2 gallons of water each 24-hour period, thanks to this workhorse of a de-humidifier.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
Installed in one of a 2-section crawlspace in coastal SC. Encapsulation + Santa Fe Advance took consistent 90% humidity to constant 48% easily.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
THE SANTA FE ADVANCE DEHUMIDIFIER WAS SUGGESTED BY MY TERMITE INSPECTOR TO DECREASE THE SLOWLY RISING HUMIDITY IN MY CRAWL SPACE. APPROX 1000 SG FT. WE DECIDED TO ORDER AND INSTALL THE UNIT OURSELVES TO SAVE SOME MONEY, ABOUT $1200 WORTH. THE UNIT WAS EASY TO INSTALL AND I SIMPLY USED THE CONDENSATE PUMP TO BRING THE WATER OUT A CRAWL-SPACE VENT. I USED SOME PVC PIPE TO DIRECT THE WATER INTO A LARGE BUCKET WHICH I THEN USE TO WATER THE PLANTS OUTSIDE .THE UNIT IS ALSO VERY QUIET. IT HAS BEEN RUNNING NONSTOP FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS LOWERING THE HUMIDITY. SO FAR SO GOOD. I LIVE IN NORTH CAROLINA WHERE WE HAVE BEEN GETTING LOTS OF RAIN AND THE IMPENDING HUMIDITY OF THE SUMMER UPON US. SO I AM HOPING THE UNIT WILL WORK FOR YEARS TO COME.
