The Santa Fe Advance is intended for installation in crawlspaces or basements which experience short- to long-term high humidity conditions, however the attractively designed unit can be placed in almost any residential or business setting where humidity control is desired. The Santa Fe Advance is designed to operate in temperatures between 55°F and 95°F, which typically include lower temperatures found in basements and crawlspaces. In addition, the small physical profile of the unit allows it to be conveniently placed inside height restricted spaces.
The Santa Fe Advance will help maintain the structural integrity of your home, inhibit mold growth, and improve the indoor air quality of your home by removing odor-causing moisture and maintaining 50% or less relative humidity as recommended by the EPA, American Lung Association, and American Medical Association.
Large Capacity: This high capacity dehumidifier removes up to 90 pints of water per day at standard conditions—enough water removal capacity for areas up to 2200 square feet.
Low Temp Operation: The Santa Fe Advance is powerful enough to control humidity even in the cooler environments of crawlspaces. Dehumidifiers are rated for capacity at 80°F and 60% relative humidity. At the cooler, real-life temperatures of a crawlspace, the capacity of conventional dehumidifiers drops dramatically. At temperatures below 65°F, frost forms on the coils of a conventional unit and causes the unit to ice-up. Frost cuts down on air circulation so the unit does not remove as much moisture from the air. Some units have automatic defrost but remove minimal quantities of water in cooler conditions. However, even at regular conditions, the Santa Fe Advance removes more pints of water per day than most dehumidifiers.
MERV-11 Filtration: The Santa Fe Series utilizes a blower rather than a propeller fan allowing the use of high-efficiency air filtration for improved indoor air quality. Standard MERV-11 filtration is 65% efficient at capturing particles from 1.0 to 3.0 microns in size—resulting in effective filtration of most mold spores.
Optional Ductability: When using the optional ducting kit - attaching ductwork to the unit promotes air circulation throughout the crawlspace allowing for the location of the unit by the crawlspace access door for convenience. The unit may also be located remotely when space doesn't allow for placement in the crawlspace.
The unit has 4 leveling feet, an 8' drain hose, and 10' power cord. Optional leveling casters are available to make unit more portable (leveling feet are standard). Separate fan control allows for continuous fan operation or operation only when the unit is actively removing moisture from the air. Humidity control knob allows unit to turn on and off automatically to maintain the humidity level that is ideal for your environment. Washable prefilter. Pleated air filter for finer particle removal.
Condensate drains via gravity from a port on the side of the unit. An optional pump kit can be purchased if water must be moved up and away from the dehumidifier. The pump kit can move water up to the outdoors, over to a sump pit or up to a sink (20 foot lift)

Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
THE SANTA FE ADVANCE DEHUMIDIFIER WAS SUGGESTED BY MY TERMITE INSPECTOR TO DECREASE THE SLOWLY RISING HUMIDITY IN MY CRAWL SPACE. APPROX 1000 SG FT. WE DECIDED TO ORDER AND INSTALL THE UNIT OURSELVES TO SAVE SOME MONEY, ABOUT $1200 WORTH. THE UNIT WAS EASY TO INSTALL AND I SIMPLY USED THE CONDENSATE PUMP TO BRING THE WATER OUT A CRAWL-SPACE VENT. I USED SOME PVC PIPE TO DIRECT THE WATER INTO A LARGE BUCKET WHICH I THEN USE TO WATER THE PLANTS OUTSIDE .THE UNIT IS ALSO VERY QUIET. IT HAS BEEN RUNNING NONSTOP FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS LOWERING THE HUMIDITY. SO FAR SO GOOD. I LIVE IN NORTH CAROLINA WHERE WE HAVE BEEN GETTING LOTS OF RAIN AND THE IMPENDING HUMIDITY OF THE SUMMER UPON US. SO I AM HOPING THE UNIT WILL WORK FOR YEARS TO COME.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
I installed this unit in my crawl space and ran a pvc line to a sump pump about 30 feet away. I purchased the condensate drain and it all seems to work very well. It's winter time and the humidity is low so it does not run very much. Humidity reading at 50%. Will not know how well it works until this summer. My crawl space is about 2200 sq.ft.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
This is a big unit for our basement, which is only 1,000 sq. ft. However, the basement has always been pretty humid. It's unfinished, in a 100+ year-old house, with cement block walls and a poured concrete floor. In the past, the basement had gotten significant quantities of water due to poor gutters and drainage. I'd previously fixed the drainage issues, and for years we'd used small rolling dehumidifier units that needed to be emptied manually. They would run almost constantly and only put a dent in the smell and dank feel of the basement. The Santa Fe Advance makes short work of the humidity. I built a platform for it, so it can gravity drain into the deep sink, and we're still not used to not having to drain the thing manually. After a few days, the scuttling bugs are gone, the dank mold smell is gone, and I'm contemplating finishing off more of the basement. It isn't an "attractive" machine per se -- it's best out of sight or in an unfinished basement. That is the only reason that I give it 4 stars instead of 5. It's not much louder than the cheap, smaller units we'd had in the past, and it runs a lot less. It seems very well made.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
I have installed one of these models in each of three different basements which were damp and moldy. Regular dehumidifiers from chain stores did not work. On the other hand each Santa Fe unit dryed out its basement very well. When you enter the basement you can immediately feel that it is dry. And the moldy smell is gone. Each of my units has the optional external pum which sends the condensate to a washing machine drain.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
I have not seen how the cost of running this unit effects my electric bill, but it definitely does the job. After reading all the reviews for the less expensive units, I decided to take the plunge. Only time will tell. So far it is working well and cycles on and off in an 1800sq ft basement one block from the bay. This space has never been dry before and we can now safely use it for storage / workspace.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
The basement was so wet that there were puddles of water on the floor. Within 4 days of plugging this unit in, the basement felt dry. After another 2 days, the basement was down to 30% relative humidity. I wouldn't say the unit is quiet, but with it in the basement, I don't notice the noise upstairs.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
I installed it in my crawlspace. It barely fit. In fact, I couldn't use the adjustable feet with it, because that would have made the unit too tall. So one negative for crawlspace use is that it is relatively tall, with vents on the top. Another negative is it is loud (not a worry for crawlspace). But, it works like a charm, reducing my 95% relative humidity in my crawl space to 60%. I'm very happy with the product. Just as long as it keeps working, year after year after year.

Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
So far, I am pleased with the results of the product. I have it in my crawl space (very damp since I live on waterfront) and I'm not smelling the musty odor as much as before. It runs almost constantly but it's necessary to eliminate the dampness.
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
We have installed the Santa Fe Advance for several years and in quite a few clients homes. This unit is quiet but it is also a workhorse. I would highly recommend considering the Advance, especially if you are installing in a closed crawl space. Sincerely, Trey Strock - Strock Enterprises, Inc. - Charleston, SC
Comments about Thermastor Santa Fe Advance Dehumidifier (4025699 / 4029800):
I installed the unit in my basement shop and ducted it into the finished part of the basement. Installed and running in about 2 hours and it works great. It does my whole basement and a crawl space (about 1700 sqft) and now runs maybe a total of 4 hours a day. My 2 small dehumidifiers were running 24/7 and never got the basement comfortable.[...] what could be better?
